Programming Dreams

I have mixed feelings about Programming Dreams. In some ways they are a sleep disturbance. There's adversity to wrestling with a dream problem, especially ones that don't exist. It's like the mind is going through the motions of problem solving without any substantive subject matter. The problems are empty placeholders so the mind can simulate control flow and logic and data structures.

On the other hand, sometimes I feel a sense of closure after a night of programming dreams. Like I actually discovered something new while I was sleeping.
